Summary:

Magnolia Primary School is a no-fee school that provides essential primary education to learners from the surrounding community, supporting foundational academic development within a public-school environment. The school serves roughly 600 learners, and faces numerous challenges, particularly regarding maintenance of the facilities as resources are stretched thin and basics are not guaranteed. Here, and at other schools around the country, it’s critical for community support to help the administrators and teachers to keep learning going.

As part of its commitment to strengthening learning environments across the Western Cape, the Isipani Foundation partnered with Magnolia Primary School to deliver targeted infrastructure improvements.

The scope of work included the repair of the existing perimeter fence and the installation of a new pedestrian access gate. These upgrades were focused on improving site security and access control within the school grounds.

The improvements have enhanced the safety and definition of the school premises, contributing to a more secure and controlled environment for both learners and staff.

By addressing key infrastructure needs, the project supports the school’s ability to operate effectively within a safe and structured setting.
