The Isipani Foundation
Committed to building better communities
At Isipani Construction, we believe our success is deeply tied to the wellbeing of the communities in which we live, work, and play. We contribute to our communities through The Isipani Foundation and additional corporate social responsibility activities, and by supporting volunteering undertaking by our staff. We are committed to making a meaningful contribution and focus our efforts in the areas of education, skills development, job creation, healthcare, and social upliftment.
Dedicated to uplifting disadvantaged communities
Founded in 2014, the Isipani Foundation is at the heart of our social responsibility initiatives. Holding a 15% share in Isipani Construction, the Foundation is dedicated to uplifting disadvantaged communities, particularly in areas where we have active construction projects. Through the projects we undertake, we aim to create sustainable benefits to the community that extend far beyond the construction sites.
Transparency, accountability and effective governance are critical to the success of any foundation. At the Isipani Foundation, our board structure is designed to ensure the highest level of stewardship and strategic decision-making for the benefit of the communities we support. Our current directors are Grant Robertson, Gerrit van Niekerk, Ray-Ann Sedres, and Kerishné Cornelissen.
As the Isipani Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation, any contribution is recognised as a Socio – Economic Development contribution in terms of the BBBEE codes of Good Practice. The contribution will also be tax deductible in the hands of donors in terms of, and subject to the limitations prescribed in section 18A of the Income Tax Act of 1962.
