Where to study and upskill yourself
There are several institutions offering courses relevant to the construction industry In the Western Cape:
- Northlink College: offers many courses including Bricklaying, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical Engineering
- False Bay TVET College: offers National Certificate (Vocational) programs in Civil Engineering and Building Construction
- College of Cape Town: provides courses in Building and Civil Engineering
- Master Builders Association Western Cape (MBAWC) Training Academy: offers specialized training programs for the construction industry, including Bricklaying Courses, Health and Safety Training, Project Management suitable for newcomers and experienced professionals
- Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT): offers Diplomas and Degrees in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying
