Lingomso Primary School

The Lingomso Primary School, constructed in 2016, was Isipani’s first government project in a number of years. The school was a new build that included 28 standard classrooms, two classrooms for Grade R learners, two multi-media classrooms and a science laboratory, as well as an administrative building, school hall and kitchen. Outdoor facilities included a full-size rugby/football field, two netball courts and a parking area. The school was designed to accommodate 400 learners. Lingomso Primary School is situated in a relatively poor community where many families are dependent on season work on surrounding farms, as a result many work opportunities were created during the construction period for unemployed workers. Once the project was completed, the Isipani’s ITISA Committee donated stationery and school shoes for all the learners.
