Lieben Logistics is a new head office and warehouse facility developed for Winelands Business Park (Pty) Ltd, prominently located alongside the N1 highway in Kraaifontein Industria, Cape Town. Founded in 1995, Lieben Logistics has grown from a fleet of 220 vehicles within its first decade to more than 600 vehicles on the road today, and the new development provides a fitting home for the company as well as several sister businesses within the wider Lieben Group.

The development comprises a two-storey office block of approximately 4,500m², finished to a high standard, together with an adjoining 4,000m² warehouse. The warehouse includes six service pits and a dedicated workshop office to support the servicing of the client’s extensive vehicle fleet. Additional facilities include a truck wash, wash bay and diesel pump facility, ensuring vehicles are kept in top condition before heading out on long-distance routes.

Civil works commenced on 15 January 2024, with the site platform established shortly thereafter, and the first concrete was cast on 12 February 2024. Drawing on lessons learned from previous projects, the site team completed all external and internal layer works despite the challenges of a second consecutive wet Cape winter. The office block progressed steadily through its structural levels while the warehouse roof installation advanced in parallel.

Safety and quality remained priorities throughout construction, with the project achieving 1st place in the MBA Regional Safety Competition (R100m–R250m category) and a certificate at the MBA National Safety Competition in recognition of the exceptional safety standards maintained on site.

Practical completion was achieved in October 2024, delivering a modern, purpose-built facility that reflects the scale and continued growth of Lieben Logistics within the South African transport and logistics industry.

I had the pleasure of working with Isipani Construction on the construction of the Lieben Logistics offices and truck workshop in Kraaifontein, and I am impressed with the integrity, site control and quality of their work.
