Summary:

• Construction and delivery of a new prefabricated educational facility

The Kusasa Project is an education-focused organisation dedicated to creating safe, inspiring, and well-resourced learning environments for children. Through their efforts at the Kusas Academy, they aspire to break the cycle of poverty by engaging disadvantaged children at an early age to give them a great foundation for educational and human development. Learners receive a nutritional breakfast and lunch every day, and a they follow an holistic approach to learning that enables the development of intellectual, emotional, social and physical functioning in their learners. Routine health checks and targeted interventions are also conducted annually.

As part of the Isipani Foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving early learning infrastructure, we partnered with The Kusasa Project to support the delivery of a new prefabricated educational facility.

The project focused on expanding and enhancing Kusasa’s physical learning space to better support its educational activities and the children it serves.

The Kusasa Project identified the need for an additional, purpose built facility to support its growing educational programme. A new structure was required to provide a safe, functional, and welcoming space that could be integrated into the existing school environment and used effectively for teaching and learning.

The Isipani Foundation supported the manufacture and delivery of a prefabricated building, designed to serve as a permanent addition to The Kusasa Project’s Academy facilities.
The documented scope of support included:

• Approval and funding of a prefabricated container based building
• Coordination of manufacturing timelines and delivery
• Oversight of the project through internal governance and CSI approval processes

The facility was manufactured following internal approvals and subsequently installed at the Kusasa site. Final interior and exterior finishes were completed by The Kusasa Project in preparation for the official opening of the building

The new prefabricated facility represents a significant enhancement to The Kusasa Project’s infrastructure. The additional space supports:

• Improved learning environments for children
• Expanded capacity for educational activities
• A safer and more functional setting for staff and learners

Feedback from The Kusasa Project confirms that the facility is a valuable and impactful addition to their campus and is expected to positively influence many lives. This project highlights the Isipani Foundation’s approach to education support through targeted infrastructure investment. By enabling the delivery of a new learning facility, the Foundation contributes to improved educational outcomes and reinforces its commitment to uplifting communities through meaningful, lasting interventions.
