Project Overview

Butterfly House is a community resource centre supporting vulnerable children and families in the Drakenstein Sub District of the Cape Winelands. Established to strengthen holistic care and resilience within a high poverty community, Butterfly House provides a safe space focused on wellbeing, education support, and positive development for children and caregivers.

In response to identified infrastructure needs, the Isipani Foundation partnered with Butterfly House to support targeted building and refurbishment interventions aimed at improving the safety, functionality, and longevity of the facility.

Identified Need

Butterfly House operates within a context of high social vulnerability, where safe and well maintained physical spaces are essential to delivering effective community services. Areas of the building required refurbishment and structural improvements to ensure they remained suitable for programme delivery and daily use by children, staff, and community members.

We are deeply grateful to Isipani for the generous donation of time, skill, and resources in transforming the Butterfly House buildings and premises. The team painted the entire building and carried out essential repairs with exceptional quality. The workers were consistently friendly, helpful, and professional — always punctual and willing to go the extra mile. Your outstanding workmanship has created a warm, dignified, and welcoming environment that continues to uplift the children and families we serve. This gift has made a lasting impact on our organisation and community, and we extend our heartfelt thanks.

May you and your company continue to be blessed with abundance.
