Afriland

Afriland is a large office development in Techno Park, a high-tech business park outside Stellenbosch. The project included the construction of seven multi-storey office blocks with basement parking, a guard house, bulk services and external parking facilities. The build included 8,077m² office space and 7,930m² for basement parking.

Situated on the R44 between Kleine Zalze and the Stellenbosch Golf Course, Techno Park is about 4 km from Stellenbosch’s university campus. The park was conceptualised in the 1970s by the then vice-dean of Stellenbosch University’s Engineering Faculty, Prof. Christo Viljoen, to act as a hub for technological innovation. Techno Park was eventually established in 1985 with the backing of what was then the national Industrial Development Corporation.
